   Athletics and health has and still does play a huge roll in my life.  I have always been involved in some kind of training/weight lifting program for football, baseball, or basketball.

   In college I began research on my own to stay active and healthy. I eventually changed my major to exercise science; It was then that I began to appreciate and more importantly understand the human body and overall wellness. Classes such as anatomy and physiology gave me the visual capacity I needed to apply my exercise knowledge and understand what movements benefit which muscle etc.

  A part of any fitness journey is understanding that diet and exercise go hand in hand, so soon after, I decided to change my major again to nutrition and food science in order to attain knowledge of both aspects of physical human health. I then took my first health related job working as a manager at the Murfreesboro Athletic Club, which is where I truly began to involve myself in fitness. I developed a relationship with TriFit and decided I should become a certified trainer and use my exercise and nutritional knowledge to help other people along their fitness journey.

I have a personal trainer certification through ISSA (International Sport Science Association), and a B.S. in nutrition and food science. I specialize in weight management, functional training, weight lifting programs, and email programming. Email programming serves as a great way for me to reach people who want to benefit from personal training in their own time or environment for those with busy schedules etc. Tri-fit is a top notch training company in the middle Tennessee area, and I'm proud to be a part of our team.
